I have blisters in my finish

Air bubbles may be caused by:

  • Shaking the can of coating.
  • Stirring too vigorously.
  • Over working the coating (brushing or rolling the product too much).

If a can was shaken or stirred vigorously, it needs time to stand so that any air bubbles can come to the surface and dissipate. If not, they can be transferred onto the applied coating.

  1. Sand to even out the air bubbles. This may require starting with a coarser grade sandpaper, before finishing with a fine grade sandpaper.
  2. Remove all sanding dust, then apply another one or two coats of the product.
